Rob Warren: 22 years old, falls off his bicycle...alot;
Dan Henwood: 24 years old, the veteran and brains behind Le Tour 2011;
Gaz Jones: 22 years old, rides second hand bicycles (it should be interesting to see which breaks down first between the two of them);
Jon Sklar: 22 years old, self appointed blogger for the team and rarely on time for anything.
Over the course of nearly three years, the four of us have worked together on and off for Pitcher & Piano in Swansea, Wales.
In 2009, Dan left the UK, picking up his bags and migrating south to Australia for a year, and though his absence was noticed, life went on. Myself Rob and Gaz carried on working, socialised and celebrated eachothers birthdays together.
Rarely did Dan's homecoming crop up as a conversation topic but when it did none of us ever assumed that Dan coming home would be anything other than a pint of guiness and a catch up...we could not have been further off the mark!
Upon returning, Dan had a new dream - to cycle from Swansea, Wales to Albufeira, Portugal in a reasonably short time while still remaining enjoyable, and, after a few weeks of persuasion we had our team, we had our bikes and we have (so far) not looked back!
